I'm currently in the pool at PSA. I've heard some guys complaining about being on resevere because they are short on pilots....is there a chance that once they start taking guys off the 328 to train on the CRJ, they will need the guys swimming in the pool to train on the Dornier? or do they plan on training the J4J's guys first so that there is not a shortage on the 328. just wondering if there is a chance i'll get in before the jets arrive or if i have to swim until 2005....thanks for the info, steve-o

Currently, the company does not plan on training any more Dornier pilots for either seat. Unless you are a J4J pilot your chances of being called for gound school is probably remote. There are some scenarios where they would have hire off the street. Reserve at this company on the Dornier is miserable.

When will the CRJ start flying? I understand people are training, but when will it actually start flying the system - and what will the initial routes be for the CRJ?

Thanks

Revenue due to start early December. No official word yet on routes. A couple of months ago the company posted some info. saying DCA DAY and MHT would be focus cities.

Initially alot of the flying will be out of PHL. PHL to Milwakee (sp) is one and PHL to Birmingham is another. Once 7 airplanes are in Dayton (dec) all flying into and out of Dayton will be done by PSA which includes cities like PIT, CLT, PHL, LGA and some mention of BOS along those lines.

Schedules will be posted for the CRJ's the last week of October so we will see then.
