Another great flight dept. profiled! "16-19 RON's and LOTS of short notice holiday and weekend flying for charter" says the chief pilot.

That's what happens with 3 pilots and 2 planes I guess. WTF over?

No free car washes though, maybe some seafood?

I was thinking the same thing. My favorite quote (and I'm paraphrasing here -- don't have the rag-azine with me) was the one about being able to enjoy living in the Seattle area. My first thought was "When exactly would you enjoy it? The 10 days a month you are actually there?"

Jimmeny Christmas, hire another pilot or two!

Chief Pilot... ha. I would call him a stinky shorted yes man that is still hunting for his father's approval. Where do these a s munches come from? He is proud of running a department like that? Seems like the kinda guy that would get shot in the back on a patrol.

take it for what it is and know not to apply there if its not you.....

Not TOO many decent outfits go in pro-pilot anyways...a few here and there...but its rare. Aside form a decent weather or Intl Ops article here or there the magazine is a joke...practically embarassing.

 .

The profile didn't explain how the 3 pilots would continue to operate the Hawker on a charter basis from VNY while being based at BFI...

Those Clay Lacy articles are just PR for the manufacturers - I've never heard anything negative...

I look at it as FREE humorous reading while trying to kill time on sitting in some FBO. And humorous it is!

You're correct about the wx and intl ops articles. I always learn something from the wx articles.

At least they get "lots of help" from the CEO in the left seat when he's onboard...Last month was still my favorite though. It was like they were dressed up for halloween.

I don't have the calculation in front of me but I'd estimate a need for a minimum of six pilots to staff this department. I find it hard to believe the chief pilot is among those averaging "16-19 RONs" a month and keeping up with his other responsibilites. You know at least one guy is getting royally screwed...IMHO.

Isn't it interesting that this company charters the aircraft through Clay Lacy. Clay Lacy is a monthly contributor to the magazine. Jeez, no arms length there, is there?

Its all good, Billyo was in PBI too. Would have been fun times reminiscing about the good ole days.

Charter is bad for your health be careful!

Well..., what can we expect from a scab. I've thought the same.
