Hello I'm currently living in Malaysia and I've got some questions about getting my PPL and would be grateful if anyone can offer me any advise.
I’ve come across a course which will give me my PPL (R) which is restricted to experimental aircraft however with a further 14 hrs of flight training in a certified aircraft I can get a PPL (A) .
- Does doing my training like this pose any problems. I eventually would like to get my CPL?
- If I get my PPL (A) in Malaysia will I have any problems if want to return to Australia and resume training there?
- Does anyone have info about flight schools in Malaysia and does anyone know the approx costs involved?
- What about the costs of getting a PPL in Australia and other places around the world and are there any pros/ cons?
- Is getting my PPL (A) the correct first step to becoming an airline/ commercial pilot and where do I go from there?
- The course i'm looking at seems quite cheap (less than $5000USD) by the time i'd get my PPL (A). Is that cheap or about right and will doing this course cause me any problems if i want to get a career in aviation?
Thank-you very much for your help and sorry for the rookie questions as they've probably been asked millions of times....
