I was unable to get the original link to work without having to register but I went directly to the EA jobs site and found this for the Orlando EA Studios (Btw, they develop the Madden and NCAA Football series, and the NASCAR games)

Go to the next page and you'll see QA Tester. These are the folks that "play (test) games" for a living but the pay may be a little sobering. Though it is a foot in the door if this is the career you're looking to transition into.

But if you're able to write an effective cover letter and resume to show transferrable aviation/pilot skills, then you might have more going for you.

My neighbor works for EA Sports, he's one of the programmers for the golf courses on Tiger Woods Golf. Poor guy has to travel to golf courses around the world so he can play them and make sure all the details make it into the game. And to think they only pay him $80K.

Maybe I can help them with their next flight sim game to make sure all the airports are properly represented ...
