Polar to recall furloughed FO's

Just heard that Polar will be recalling 12 FOs. This must be the first time in history that a furlough recall is announced during the holidays.......Maybe things are getting better......

How many on the street?

Also, what about the F/Es? Heard they won some kind of suit or arbitration, and that the fireing was un-lawful?
If so, what are they coming back to? No more classics on the property?

The FE's were granted back pay from the date they were fired and are now on the payroll despite not having airplanes to fly. This proves how important a well worded scope clause is.

I can't argue with that statement right there, but did theese guys get thier job back because of that? Or because they were furloughed out of seniority?

Just curious...

I believe this is a result of attrition (Polaroids, correct me if I'm wrong). I know of six Polar and two Atlas guys that were going to start at Korean in November. I'm assume there's been some going elsewhere as well.

Letters have been recieved!

Letters have been recieved and guys will heading back to training within a couple of weeks. Good Luck guys!

Just curious, were they CA's or FO's? Also, do you know it it was Gapaviation doing the contract?

Thanks

As of now, the recalls are for backfill due to recent resignations. However, the arbitration grievance settlement award, due out on Jan 07, will probably force AAWWH to make all forloughed FO's whole, with backpay. Stay tuned....As the world turns.....

I would like to thank the Polar MEC and pilots who showed up in MIA last week in support of Asstar and their informational picking, we appreciate it.
