Polar incident?

... flew into Anchorage the other day, was told by my ride to the hotel that a polar 747 had struck a pod while attempting to land in some pretty bad gusts, anyone have any info?

Hey Pirate,

I heard from a good source that it was an Atlas 747. It's possible that someone made a mistake and thought it was Polar. Maybe he was smoking crack?
