Any guys at Polar Air.

What is competetive times to get hired at Polar and how important is to get someone to walk your resume in!

thanks

Good question. I am an engineer here at Polar and since we got bought out by Atlas, even I do not know the best way. But I will call HR today and ask them and post it for you. Good call coming to Polar though. We have a great group.

Do newhires start out at the old Polar pay, or the Atlas pay? There's a fairly significant difference between the two. How much, on average, do you fly? Does everyone start as an FE, or are you guys using PFE's?

If you get hired on at Polar you get Polar pay, or at Atlas you get Atlas pay. These are still 2 separate airlines. But watch out for the $ amount and read both contracts before you make a decision based on pay, Polar's contract is a better one....

When I joined it was as a PFE. And a the moment that is all we have, however the policy has been changed to PFE or SO. I have no idea where the company is heading on this but we do not need any backseaters at the moment and the new hire class going now are all FO's. As to pay, hey Atlas may make more than we do, but we have a better quality of life, and if you want the extra dough, you can always volunteer to work days off. Me, I like the Quality of life. At Atlas you don't have much choice. And personally, I thnk we have a better group of guys, but that is pure prejudice on my part.
