Anyone know where to get a POH for the CRJ 200 or have one they want to sell?? I have a upcoming class and wanted to possibly get a head start. Thanks!!!

I don't think you're going to find a POH for a CRJ, or any other part 25 aircraft.

What you will find is a company specific manual and those aren't/shouldn't be for sale.

I just did a search on Yahoo for "crj flashcards" and it came up with a site that sells limitations, ep's, etc. But like the last post said -- you won't find a systems book easily. I have flashcards (but not from the site I found on yahoo) -- and they're good for review, but certainly not necessary to get through training. Keep-it-simple principle... they'll tell you what you need to know in class. I wouldn't sweat it.

The airplane is not hard to learn at all. You won't need any more time to study for it than what you get in training. Don't get bent out of shape getting a "jump start" on it. Also no two companies POHs are likely to be the same.

This sorta thing comes up every so often. Don't waste your time studying numbers, limitations or information from other sources than the actual manuals and/or flashcards from the specific company you'll be attending training for. The same equip has various configurations and procedures depending on where you go, so don't waste your time. You'll have enough time to learn this once class starts and if the company wants you to know more ahead of time, they will send you the things to study.

The only thing I'd recommend is www.avsoft.net for a general cockpit layout, just to get an idea of what every switch is for whichever equip you're going to. This could also come in handy while in training...

Gotta agree with Av8er. Don't worry too much about trying to get ahead on a lot of airplane specific stuff. Your company will give you the info you need and the CRJ is pretty simple overall.

Besides, any POH you might get, even from your soon-to-be company, will likely be outdated. At ASA they can't resist regular change for changes sake with our procedures and manuals, so it's a challenge to keep up, even for line pilots. You don't need to try to unlearn incorrect info on top of everything else you are introduced to in groundschool.

The cockpit layout could help though.

Bombardier does publish a Canadair Regional Jet Series 200 Pilot Reference Manual. Two volumes of information condensed from the AFM, Flight Planning and Cruise Control Manual, Weight and Balance Manual, Dispatch Deviation Guide and Master MEL. "For Training Purposes Only" and "remains the intellectual and physical property of the Bombardier Aerospace Training Center". Don't know if you can buy one from them, but you might see one on eBay from time to time. The manuals for the Collins FMS are separate. Last time I checked, Collins wanted $750 for one book.
