Does anybody know of some good (not toooo expensive) preflight planning software for a Pocket PC based PDA? Something that does the equivelent of a DUATS flight plan (minus the real time winds of course). I downloaded a trial version of FlyBy Nav which is ok (www.skywritersoft.com/flybynav/FlyByNavPPC.htm), but will only plan point A to point B with nothing in between. Thanks in advance.

Universal on line. $19.95 a flight plan or $300/mo for all you can eat. It can also be acessed via a palm with internet.

You can justify it to you boss in fuel savings.

For Domestic US flight planning and filing try www.fltplan.com/PDA. (Internet connection required of course) They adjusted the screen for PDAs. You can still use it for flight palnning to some Bahama locations, but no filing available. Also I can't get them to acknowledge if they are or will be a Qualified Internet Service Provider. Best thing - its FREE! Just use their advertisers once in awhile. For strict flight planning without Internet access - I've seen a few programs advertised in the pilot magazines - $200 - 300 dollar range perhaps, which usually have an Internet capability option. I think I also saw something recently from Sporty's Pilot Shop.
