The Federal Aviation Administration, NASA, and Honeywell International have teamed to investigate issues associated with aircraft merging and spacing (interval management), both in current operations and for future concepts. It’s crucial to obtain input on this topic from pilots, air traffic controllers/managers, and dispatch operators – so we need your help.
If you would be interested in helping this research, then please reply to this invitation (send an email) to Jeff Lancaster: [email protected]. Upon receipt, you’ll be sent an email with a URL link to an online web survey.
At the conclusion of this survey, you will be asked if you would like to be considered for participation in further studies and/or workshops related to merging and spacing operations. If you are not a pilot, air traffic controller/manager, or dispatch operator, then please feel free to forward this message to anyone you know who fits these descriptions, and have them contact Jeff as noted above.
Thank you very much,
Kara Latorella, Ph.D. – NASA Langley Research Center
Jeff Lancaster, Ph.D. – Honeywell International
