Ok, here is what I found out about Planet from a friend of mine that interviewed with them.
They have 1) 721 and 5) 722. planning on replacing them with 734's this year.
They are closing their FLL offices and moving them to a High rise in West Orlando not near any airports. They are curently there now but moving to a new office soon.
They have a total employ of 115 people. are owned privately and the owner is there in Orlando. Run an ACMI supplimental ops, have a DOD contract for US mainland ops only, plan to expand to international, MEX and Islands. Run alot of tour business, some sports teams and applied for a A-345 exemption to operate as a filling operator for scheduled airlines that need a trip picked up due to a broke plane....
The impression was this is an up start operation, nice people looking to hired qualified cheap. Crew base is at MCO only.
HR contact if your interested is: Butch Elkins (407)363-1800 Fax (407)363-4406.
Current address (soon to change) 7380 Sandlake Rd ste 350 Orlando, Fl. 32819
They are owned by that fat dude who created "Backstreet Boys", "'N Sync" and that Making the Band show. He was in the aviation charter business in the beginning flying bands around when he decided he could do this music thing as well as the guys he was flying.
Allegedly, they were also a "provider" for 250 hrs in a 727 for Eagle Jet. I have no idea if that's true, just what I heard from a guy on the ramp one day.
