What a mess this is going to cause! Anybody know what type of AC it was?

Yup. All the media outlets are covering it and Fox just stated they have a report that the pilot set his own house on fire then flew his aircraft into the building that houses the IRS offices. This could get pretty ugly.

Airplane was a Cherokee.

We're in AUS right now and as one might imagine, this is HUGE news...lots of people are pissed at the IRS but most don't plow a moving vehicle into their local offices...

I can see it now. The FAA will have some "knee jerk" reaction that says all pilots must now have a yearly Psych evaluation.

Get ready for more of this kinda' thing the way this economy is going. People are starting to fray a bit.

Honestly, this is inevitable when you look at history/human nature. Governments start out okay and the people are happy... The former gets bigger and bigger making the latter angrier and angrier... *KABOOM*

once again, it's not the weapons fault, it is the people using the weapon. Take one weapon away and someone looking to do something bad will use another weapon. Hopefully, the media and the people will remember this.

Mary Schiavo was just on FoxNews...what a joke. She said we need a box on the airman medical application form to check if we have trouble with the IRS or financial trouble to prevent what happen. Also, she said pilots should have 1-3 million in aircraft insurance so the insurance companies can do background checks on pilots.

It's only fair

She said we need a box on the airman medical application form to check if we have trouble with the IRS or financial trouble...

You should have to check the box only if your financial situation is worse than that of your employer or the US Government. If not, you're good to go. :p
