From what I hear, it's pretty dang accurate, but no official announcement yet.

What about those upgrade times? Are new people coming in with 3500hrs really getting upgraded to captain within a month or two?

Half of the captain vacancies are not being filled. Upgrade is being awarded to new hires while in class.

Pinnacle is bleeding captains. Before the most recent rash of resignations, the projections were NEGATIVE 25 through September. Now, they can't fill September upgrade classes and are moving with a mentor program to lower the min's another 500 hours. Once that program gets running and no one buys the farm, the upgrades should climb again.

I would guess they will not see positive CA numbers until next year. Soo... quick upgrade, long and vicious reserve and low pay with an expired contract.

And don't forget the high cost of living base with the long commute just to put ice o nthe cupcake. "Simply the BEST'

How bad is the pay? It list 1st year captain at $55 an hour over on APC. That doesn't seem horrible, not great, but livable. Also how bad is reserve really? Do you fly much on reserve? Do the make you sit at the airport all day, or at home? What are the chances of getting the base you want?

I never thought I'd go to a regional EVER, but if I can get hired as a captain, it's something to consider.

PNCL applied for LAX and SLC, but the latest is that has changed to possibly ATL. Discussions are all very dynamic. Resignations have slowed down due to little hiring from above but would be expected to pick up again when hiring starts again.
