Can any pinnacle guys recommend the best way to submit a resume'. ie: fax, mail, or e-mail. I have submited in the past by mail but never gotten anything back, although I have no LOR's, that might explain it. Any help would be appreciated!

Doesn't seem to matter, both get put in, but without a LOR it's pretty difficult to get in the door. Streamers and rec's flesh out 99% of our classes according to the people I talk to at HR. If you go to an AIR, Inc career fair it also helps - a lot of guys I was in class with had no LOR's but met the HR team in L.A. a few years ago and that seemed to make the difference. We haven't been going to the last few but that may change - the one in Dallas in January might see us attending again.

Your time and experience seems to be right in the ballpark and we're going to be hiring a LOT of people in the upcoming months, so work those contacts and keep at it. Persistence pays off here - I've been told that people who keep bugging them are recognized as people who really want the job and get a little more noticed.

Just don't call them every day - that p*sses them off (and yes, people have done that and their resumes go into the "never call" pile).

Good luck

Lear70, thanks for the info. I understand that not having the LOR's is the main thing that gets you in. I have been sending resume's to just about everyone, Comair, Skywest, Pinnacle, Air Wis to name a few(except Mesa) and have heard nothing. I even attended the DCA job fair for the sole purpose of talking to the Comair recruiter and then they did not show, they pulled out last minute. I do not have any friends at Pinnacle, although I met a guy who used to work for a previous company i worked for, he is a Pinnacle pilot but we don't know each other. Anyway, thanks for the info!

LOR's help bigtime, but with as many as we plan on hiring in the next year, I think there will be a good bit of hiring from outside the Pilot LOR ranks...

Good Luck

I just got home from the Race and had a message on my phone from Stephanie with good news. I will give her a call tomorrow to find out what class date.
