Responsible for flight, payload, and data link control of the Hunter (RQ-5A) and Hunter II Unmanned Extended Range Multipurpose Air Vehicle(UAV) from a ground control station. Has technical background in electronics, computer science, and aviation discipline. Has knowledge of basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Follows specific detailed instructions. Performs maintenance and engineering test flights. Creates and reviews operator technical publications. Evaluates and documents student performance. Must be knowledgeable in radio control procedures, military radio communication procedures, sensor theory of operations, data link theory, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, air navigation, and general aviation procedures. May be required to supervise other operators on a flight team. Will be required to deploy OCONUS. Will be required to perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Must have total command of the English language both verbal and written. Must be able to obtain an American Express Corporate Credit Card. Must be able to obtain or currently hold a DOD Secret Clearance. Must posses a current Class 3 FAA medical certificate. Must be willing and able to travel to remote and hazardous locations with the Customer, military or DHS. Assets: Experience as a military pilot would be beneficial. Graduate of a formal military instructor course is desired. Commercial pilot's license with instrument rating highly desired. Security Clearance Required.
