non-compete

Most sales types of jobs, such as office equipment have you sign one. They don't want you steeling their list wooooooo.

The last list that i, was using for a certian company was bad, no one else wanted it.

Most of these run for a year.

Certian companies just will not higher any one under one.

I have seen them enforced twice in the state of florida, where the sheriff, walked in to the new company asked for the two people who, just left another company and escourted them out to serve them with papers.

non-compete?

A non-complete agreement, I have never heard of that for a pilot at any other company. But if a judge says it is legal then you may be in trouble if you go to work anywhere else. You have ask yourself why are they hiring Capt's off the street in these times. Three reasons come to mind 1. excessive turnover, 2. Saving money by passing over present employees to avoid training both F/O's and Capt's, or 3. a lack of experience in the present work force. It is not due to growth unless one of the three things memtioned above has depleted their pilots force. Anyone care to commment?

I doubt anyone who is currently there wants to sign another 18 month contract in order to upgrade. I`m sure most people are sick of the place like I was when I left.

I'm not a lawyer butt.... I think there is a difference between breach of contract and breaking the law. Its not illegal to break a contract, but they can take you to civil court and you might pay there.
