Looking for any information on the two companys. Pay, upgrade, aircraft, base, which one would be better to work for? Or any other bs that would be helpful so i can make a choice.

They just don't learn, do they?

Let's see......

PDT is wholly owned by US Airways, who will be lucky to survive the summer. People are jumping ship; they are in the middle of "merging" with ALG (more like acquiring ALG, which changes their name to either Piedegheny or Allemont :D), etc., etc., etc.

Whiskey just lost Airtran; will probably close the ATL base due to this; have to repaint 10 aircraft (puts them out of service); will have a short term surplus of pilots; hopes that UAL survives (and if they don't...... ); etc., etc., etc.

Glad to see that you can "choose" with your 800 hours and CFII. Good luck.

LTG:eek:

Umm, in case you're not joking (never can tell on this board, sometimes), AirWhiskey generally hires only pilots with several thousand hours, considerable ME time and previous 121/135 experience.

Please Stop!

You know nothing, so please keep your mouth shut and stop telling rumors. Yes Air Wisconsin and Air Tran will not be any more but those planes are going directly for United. There will be no down time for paint jobs. Air Wis is short FO's right now and are getting people thru class ASAP.

Air Wisconsin is a great company and will continue hiring untill at least June.

Air Wiskey!

I worked at both airlines and Air Wisconsin is heaven compared to Piedmont. I was at Piedmont 3 1/2 years and averaged about 12 days off with no chance to upgrade. I have been at ZW for 6 months and average 14-15 days off with a lot better contract. I will make more my second year than I could have made as a 10 year fo on the dash. I really liked the people at Piedmont and I am still friends with a lot of them. Hope things workout there. People at Air Wiskey are great and the company doesn't micro manage you. Look at how many people are leaving Piedmont, that should tell you something. My 2 cents.

Well that used to be the case but no more!!! I was there for three yrs and in all the time I worked for AWAC that held pretty much true. As of late it seems as though they are hiring the low time folks in hopes of keeping people around for a while.

WD.

W.T.F. Over.

God I hope your joking. Otherwise put the crack pipe down and check into the Betty Ford Clinic and send MESA your resume. JO needs diillusioned pilots like you in his effortt to take over the airline world and make sure all pilots qualify for food stamps.
