It seems that folks have many good things to say about Swift in PHX. The impression is growth backed by a solid company involved in all kinds of transportation - true? Any SAG pilots out there that may offer some guidance in the following? (in no particular order)

1. Is it all 7 on / 7off?

2. Opinion of management: regional mentality, major mentality, fly-by-night mentality, high-class "treat customer right" mentality - what's the general management attitude?

3. How much customer involvment is there for the pilots? Do pilots get to interact with the customers or is the attitude, "lock the pilots up and keep them outta sight of the customer?"

4. Is there a pay for training clause - in that if you leave within a certain time period you must repay some training costs?

5. Is there much "deadheading"? If so - is it handled well or thrown together last minute (meaning you, the pilot, must actually chase down the reservation every time)?

6. How many pilots PHX based? Do most pilots live in PHX?

7. Drop a resume off in person, or mail it? - what's preferred (website just has a snail mail address)

8. Do you *have* to have ERJ / CE time?

9 Do you *have* to know someone?

10. Would you recommend swift to your best pilot friend as a good place to fly for?

Thanks so much - please feel free to PM me as well.

Their stock symbol is SWFT. They are a Part 135 operation, hope this helps.

Schedule is 8/7 and you airline in and out of phx. PHX is the only base, all though I know a couple of guys that have been allowed to live other cites for a while.

I believe that the pay is the same for everyone no matter what plane you fly. Cpt pay is around 50k then in 5yrs (I think) it goes up to 70k.

You will most likely start out in the C560. Upgrading in ac is seniority based.

The flight department does a lot of charter for Flight Options. Use to for NetJets but had a falling out. The company buys and sells AC so the fleet changes occasionally.

It is a close nit family there as well. Lots of folks came from a company called Grand Aire. A 135 freight company that has since changed it's name to Tri-Coastal. They are a great bunch of guys to fly with (swift).

Not sure if Swift is hiring now or not. If you really want to work there you might consider swinging by and dropping off your resume in person as well as mailing it.
