Just got a phone call from Pinnacle out of the blue. I've never applied to the airline. According to the headhunter they found an old resume on Climb to 350 dot com. I haven't been on that site for a while and don't remember what my resume says. They emailed me an invitation to interview.

Anyway it is just amazing how things have changed in the last 3 years. They must be getting fairly desperate to be using a headhunting firm to find pilots. I wonder when they will start to increase the pay?

When the pay increases I'll think about flying for the regionals. Until then I'll be holding out for a living wage.

Just last week they called me for a street CA position that my friend recommended me for months ago. Immediately after seeing what they paid in training, I forgot about it. So when this lady called me, I told her I had another job and she got pi$sed!

"Well......who are with now?!?" In the snottiest way she could. It was like I offended her personally or something!

Believe it or not they've actually called a few FO's that already work here (Pinnacle) if they'd like to interview. They're just digging through climbto350 resumes without looking at the job history details.

I don't expect the pay to change here for a while, but one can always dream of a fair NMB in the future.

Please tell them you won't consider Pinnacle untill they have a pilot contract. Which should be true.

How times have changed...I sent a resume to ASA over the summer of 2001, I had just over 1000TT and 190 Multi. I got the standard rejection letter but the minimums were highlighted and a hand written note was added to the letter saying that I shouldn't waste their time, how dare I apply without meeting the requirements and if I apply before I meet the minimums I would be black listed. I found it a few months ago while I was cleaning out some files...I saved it.

Same happened to me about 3 weeks ago they called asking me to come in for an interview. I guess they found my resume out of the dusty files.

My Dad always told me to try not to make the same mistake twice. An engineering professor once told me that the definition of insanity is trying the same experiment twice expecting to yield differing results. Perhaps it was best put by our own President....

Pinnacle now requires 100 hours as an FO before upgrade.

Well if she knew about you, she would have known you would be happy to pay for training and the job.
