Anyone know of ANY flight jobs around Phoenix for someone with 1,500TT, 560 multi and meets all the 135 requirements? I'll flight instruct, run checks, cargo, dead bodies, live bodies, roaches, animals, aliens (extraterrestrial types), (legal) drugs...HELP! I am CHEAP and EASY and will work like a dog! Cessnas, Pipers, taildraggers, singles, twins, turbines (I'll learn), radial (I'll supply the extra oil), wash that plane YES SIR, pump gas....ANYthing!

Anything within about a 60 miles of Phoenix!??

Left current job for regional. Regional cancelled class for unspecified time and past employer has way too many CFIs to take me back. In Purgatory.

Thanks in advance.

Don't work too cheap dude, you know what the folks around here will say to that.

There is nothing like saying you're cheap and easy on the internet!

Seriously, I think Pan Am up at Deer Valley is looking for someone. Good Luck!

Seriously, I think Pan Am up at Deer Valley is looking for someone.

Naa....Pan Am is looking for a new Chief Flight Instructor, but isn't hiring any instructors, unless you fork out $10-20k to do their ACE program, and CRM program and route flying program. They also prefer you do your CFII and MEI there, blah blah.....

Point of the story is, if you want to work there, you have to do some of your training there and that means a lot of $$$$ spent on training programs you don't need.

Phoenix is very dry right now on the job market. A few weeks ago I did see that a company in Page, AZ was looking for pilots to fly scenic tours in a Cessna 206, but that's nowhere near Phoenix.

Good luck!

Lufthansa schools

You might try the two Lufthansa schools, Airline Training Center Arizona in Goodyear and ATTI, Air Transport Training International in Tuscon. ATCA is first-rate, with great facilities and aircraft, and a strong organization. Great pay. ATTI may not be as strong an organization.

Airline Training Center Arizona

1658 S Litchfield Rd

Goodyear, AZ 85338-1509
Phone: (623)932-1600
Ask for Rich Kane - he used to do instructor hiring.

Atti

6400 S Aviator Ln

Tucson, AZ 85735
Phone: (520)578-4000
There was a Karin Weatherwalks who had something to do with hiring there years ago. I don't know if she's still around.

Hope that helps some more.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate circumstances with the regional airline. If you would be interested in moving on from flight instructing, doing something a bit more exciting, and being able to pay a few bills at the same time (and who wouldn’t) your in an area of the country, and state for that matter, that has need for pilots to fly fire patrol. And guess what? This is the time of year that they start gearing up for the coming fire season.

Fire patrol is the layman’s term for the job of Air Attack. I don’t know what your circumstances are about staying close to Phoenix but there are lots of companies that operate aircraft in this or some other similar capacity throughout the southwest. I worked for a company that was located in another part of Arizona but the had a plane based in Phoenix and another in Tucson. Because the planes are used by government agencies you and the plane have to meet their Federal guidelines. I don’t know if you have the multiengine time to qualify (I can’t remember what the mins. are) but the good new is that some of the operators also use single engine planes as well and that might get your foot in the door and allow you into the twins later on. Another plus is that your pay is also set by Federal guidelines as well which could mean that you’ll end up making more than that good for nothin’ commuter that put you out on the street was going to pay you.

I won’t go into all the details here but if this has peaked your interest at all you can PM me and I’ll give more info including a link to a website that you can use to find operators, aircraft, what state they are in, and all kinds of related stuff to help you in this regard. I only ask one small favor in return; that you keep your eyes and ears open for me regarding a corporate job in Arizona (one that you may not qualify for of course). Man I miss Arizona.

Keep your airspeed up,
BareFooter

If instructings your thing, Sawyer in Scottsdale will hire only on the condition you bring in your own clients.

Best of luck
