My good friend Mikey told me Flops will be ditching the Crapjet400 for the the new Phenom....is this a new "Jets for Jobs" program?

Huh? Why would they get rid of the plane when the following description is shown on their website:

"The ideal light jet is one way to describe this aircraft, which combines high cruise speeds, tremendous aircraft reliability and a spacious cabin.

Flight Options operates the largest Beechjet fleet in the world. The Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP, the most popular light jet in the industry, is a top performer in the light jet category. With a maximum cruise speed of 504 mph; you will arrive to your destination faster. Faster cruise speeds equate to less occupied time-saving you both time and money. Add in a range of up to 1,677 statute miles and you have the perfect light jet to meet your unique missions."

Because they are junk and do not do what the company sells them as. They sell them as fill the seats and go X-country. It can not do that and will never do that.

I've always wondered how FlOps makes those planes work. Ours don't because of performance and maintenance issues. Or doesn't FlOps have performance and maintenance issues??

No MX issues it is just added to the "watch list!"

No Performace issues either. Just sometimes you got to make a fuel stop. "It happens in all airplanes." Then when they say that the 800XP took them coast to coast, we just remind them that this isn't an 800XP but rather a 400XP. Half the airplane! :)

Ultra Grump, I don't want to get into a pissing match, but the BJ does work and just like IronMan said, no performance issues just a fuel stop. Our owners here at FLops know how to pack for the plane. NJ salesman touted the BJ as a direct replacement for one of your Cessnas ( don't know which one). But the plane isn't a direct replacement, you and I know this.

No pissing match, but I suspected you would say as much. Do you guys not calculate climb gradients? Our 400s get stuck all the time because they can't make 3.3 (with anti-ice on), let alone an obstacle gradient.

Well let's see, do you calculate TKO distance? Well then duh!

Ask any 72 pilot about anti-ice switches and cimb, or more like anti-climb switches.

Every airplane has it's LIMITATIONS.

Here's a clue, don't go to places where you have to have A/I on for climb.

You may as well stay south then or wait until summer to bring the turds north.

Also I was just reading about the Phenom 300 and it does not seem any better than the BJ.
