Per diem what does your airline pay?

I've been doing a search on per diem and it seems the goverment allows about 2.10 per hr. Of course a few areas are higher. The majority of cargo and regionals are only at about 1.60 or less. What gives! Why has there not been a raise in over ten years? This is the only break pilots get(tax free). We should see at least 2.00 hr across the board. What do you guys think?

depends on who ya fly for....domestic i get $2/hr and international I get $3/hr. In some countries the $3/hr does not go very far.

I get $1.25 domestic and $1.35 international, excluding canada and mexico.

I get about $125 a day in ANC and a little less in Hong Kong. They give it to us in cash at the front desk in whatever currency applies. Pretty good deal.

It's all based on the price for breakfest, lunch, and dinner at a decent place as well as dry cleaning charges and incidentals.

I never have to go to a bank machine and always get back home with more in my wallet then when I left!
