A couple of questions about Pentastar Aviation (and yes, I have read some previous posts):

1. Has Pentastar hired anyone recently? If so, into which type aircraft? What's the likelihood of getting on a Gulfstream (III, IV or V) without a type?

2. I understand it is part 135 flying, having never flown 135, what would be the typical number of days off per month, and how much of the flying would be international in Pentastar's case?

3. Is working at Pentastar enjoyable, manageable or too stressful (like most 135 operators)?

You can PM me if you like. Just wondering about the likelihood of getting a Gulfstream position as well as whether this would be a good move in terms of lifestyle (or are most people there worked like dogs)?

correct me if I am wrong

They get no scheduled time off, time off comes while waiting for your next assingment. Often when they are busy this is the 10 hours of crew rest. Info is couple years old, they had a alot of turnover back then.

GM & Daimler

Out of curiosity, how much flying is for GM and DaimlerChrysler and how much is charter?

I have seen there GIVs and GVs on the ramp. Great looking airplanes. Anyone know more about their hard days off or starting salaries? I read about a guy who was hired and given a GIII type rating in the last year - not sure if he is still there or actually enjoying his GIII job there. Do the GIIIs work as hard as the GIV/Vs?

I went through G-III recurrent with one of their Captains. He loved the G-III position. Said maintenance was top notch, and his scedule was reasonable on the G-III. I think the larger equipment is somewhat busier. He walked my resume in but no call as of yet.

I flew with a Challenger CA from Pentastar on my last recurrent and he loved it. He was convinced it's one of the better corporate gigs in the DTW area. Pay was decent and he had 13-20 days off a month.

For what it's worth...
