Any thoughts on doing your master log in pencil?

I know a captain that dose it and the feds did not say anything about it on his 121 type and upgrade.

I do the flights in ink and the totals in pencil......helps when i mess up my times.

Cool. Well I am doing the flights in pencil and the totals in ink. I looks realy neat and clean. Somebody told me that JAL would frown on a logbook in pencil.

My first 7 years worth of logbooks are in pencil. Never had an interviewer bat an eye at it.

Erasable Pen

The easy answer to your question is use an erasable pen.
It looks just as good as a regular pen, but erases just like a pencil. I use a Papermate "erasermate" model.

Makes the logbook look neat and clean!
