hey there was a US (Piedmont) Dash 8 in Minneapolis today parked infront of signature, anyone know whats up with that?
 
I would guess we got some contract mx doing heavy checks up there! Or... Minneapolis is gonna be the next PDT crew base!!!!!!
 
Word is that PDT is being brought in as a replacement for XJ. They are the only ones with turboprop lift available to service the smallish places out of MSP.

There's often odd ball planes parked there. I saw an old USAirways paintjobbed Saab there just a few days ago.
 
Yeah, aren't 906 and 907 coming up on their "F" checks? :D
 
Thats all right, I saw two piedmont dashs in Great Falls Montana. Lets just say they are not coming back as PDT's.
 
We're being secrectly liquidated. Our assets are being transfered to an alter ego code named "Lake Central" which will be used to replace XJ.
 
I would suspect whatever you saw was an "ex" PDT AC, being sent somewhere else by the owner (new lease holder, etc).

I'd be curious to find out which tail numbers they were... That would probably clear up some of the mystery, especially if they were -200's.

Don't worry... The Q400's will be announced any day now.
 
Saw 979HA in Airliners Mag. it flys for Island Air!!! Funny what a nice paint job does to an old a$$ plane, it looked nice!

Yea Prop... I was just in Toronto and they already had 5 Dash 400's painted up in US Airways Colors! :-D

YOU FOOL! You get 300 pay all the time! So of course, Druggy will continue the feel good theme by allowing you to fly the 400 for 300 pay. Don't mistake that for a take-it-or-leave-it ploy, it's a "This is it in it's entirety, no negotiations available" thing. Totally different.

That's right, silly me, I guess they are all narrow-body tprops therefore should all be the same rate! I should just feel lucky to have the opportunity to fly it, should it ever come.

Ahh, and we'll also benefit immensely from a "Turbs for Turds" program. Nice! They would wow us in training...

Over/under line for the number of attempts in the sim at a V1 cut, until they finally make it to FRA?

Don't let out the secret, but I'm having a blast. There is still something to be said for flying a plane that you know is more complicated than a 757 (only going from current 75 FOs that came from the Dash, oh- and the fleet manager for a major over DC9s that said the same) yet fun as all hayull to actually drive.

I only had 12 days off in SEP, with 15 off in OCT, and hopefully 23 off in NOV. You know the pay- but it's enough for now.

Same old BS, same day too. YOU, on the other hand, are affecting real change. I respect that, mang. You get all o' that and a Peace Corps worldly sensiblity, AND PIC time. If I had any nutz left in the coin purse, I'd be hammering you for a LOR. But I'm getting married again soon. Ooops.
