Don't know which one it is, but there have been several times lately when CHQ flights have been called scabs over the radio while in PHL.

Be professional guys, if you are flying with these guys clue them in on what calling me a scab really means.

I don't work for PDT or ALG but why the hell would they call you a scab when you are not taking their flying. If they are going to call anyone a scab it would be MESA. Correct me if I am wrong but I do believe there is more then 2 airlines that fly into PHL!!!!!!!!!

I know at least PSA, ALG, PDT, Mesa and Chq fly into PHL....... the only people who screw things up on a constant basis in PHL is Mesa. If anyone is calling Chq scabs they are way off base.

He He he..

That scab call is an echo from a fews years back when the Wholly-owned US regionals were taking mainline USAir flying and replacing it with Dashs etc. Don't listen to One Tough Guylover, those Dashs Eight leaf blowers are responsable for more slow downs @ PHL than anything else. The PHL terminal shuttles are faster than a Dash, I flew Dash 7's and I KNOW! Anyway, the WO guys never invested in Scope and are getting the shaft because of it. They then aim thier lack of contractual foresight at pilots who, if I understand the WO position, are obviously WANTED to steal "their" (read formar mainline) routes and are entirely responsable for route planning, domicile choice and pricing etc, all management functions at other airlines. I love OTG's avtar, a pleasent momento of a weekend at Micheal Jackson's house, not doubt, I think MJ said it was an innocent Hemlich, the guy had a bone on his throat....of sorts...... BTW this isn't a crack on the majority of the PDT/ALG guys, they told Management to F.O. on the jets for concessions program, more than can be said for many other "defenders of the profession" that make regualr appearences here. They will be no doubt punished for not toeing the line, too bad more pilots don't follow their example, it would be a better life if they did.

China Clipper states-"Anyway, the WO guys never invested in Scope and are getting the shaft because of it."

Incorrect- ALG and PDT had the strongest scope in the Commuter trash section of Alpa. Unfortunately Alpa National under Mr. Delta Duffy,Randy "Flying Desk" Babbit and Duane Worthless abrogated many sections of their contracts to buttress the negotiations at the other W/O- "Mainline U". Lets let the courts decide if your above statement is accurate. Alpa doesn't think so understandable. The courts haven't seen it there way so far. If the damages with the latest filing is achieved Alpa will be delegated to the gutter, the same place they have sweep the rights of the Commuter Trash for the past 20 years.

China, the Dash 8's in PHL use 35/17 or 26 the vast majority of the time so I think you need to look for the slow down elsewhere. I might have misunderstood the rest of you post so if you know this please ignore. US group (mainline, PSA PDT ALG) are all the same company, people in CCY decide which one of us 4 fly what routes with what aircraft. the WO's management have NO say in what we do. We did not, nor ever could steal flying from anyone. How do you steal what is already yours? All flying that says US Airways on the ticket is US Group flying, the above 4 are US group. The problem that comes into the picture is when Group managment (the labor friendly types) down in CCY contract out flying to other airlines that are not a part of US Group. The resulting problems are well documented. I personally do not blame the pilots at other airlines (obvious exceptions) I blame incompetent management and a scope clause that was so restrictive it ended up making Mesa and the like the only option for that incompetent management to use. The only thing that is crystal clear, is that this whole situation has turned into a giant disaster!

Maybe not in the terminal area... A few years ago I remember plenty of times with NY center just before checking in with ACY approach for the arrival into PHL..

New York Center: Allegheny 1234 say speed
Allegheny 1234: 200Kts
New York Approach: What will it be in the descent?
Allegheny 1234: 205 kts

New York Approach: To {name the dude BEHIND them} can you slow up? indicated no more than 200

It was precious, but then again it was well known those money levers rarely went above 200Kts. At block or better,,, could you blame them?

What do you mean they arn't taking ALG and PDT flying? They fly jets for U and correct me if I'm wrong but they have some future RJ growth for U also. How are they any different then Mesa or TSA?................................. BTW, the Scab thing on the radio is classic PDT, ALG. I've never seen a group of old men act like such a bunch of children. Pretty sad. -Bean

That is where you are wrong. PDT and ALG do not, and will never fly jests on the property. Nice try though.

Bean,
Who do you think was blocking Freedom on PHX Clearance Delivery? I know who I think it was. So much for another round "Abused Mesa Pilot."

"Pot to Kettle, over."
