Hello, just wondering what the average pay would be after one has been flying four to five years for NETJETS? How long are the upgrades running about?

Tks

Upgrade is currently running at 1 year 10 months.

The pay is spelled out in the contract, http://www.ibt1108.org/01%20PILOTCBA%20November%2021,%202005.pdf

If hired in June 2004, awarded captain in July '06, pay is 3rd year reserve captain pay, $84,560.

10 hours of overtime a month, seems realistic, $7,000 more, up to 92K, work 4 holidays and get 2400 more, up to $94,400., that's without any extended days.

$10,000. a month a year from now when those 5 hit 3 years with NJA was a little optimistic, base pay will be $96,000., only comes out to $107,000. a year, would only be $8,916. a month using the 10 hours a month overtime and 4 holidays.

pay

At NetJets, plain ol basic captains pay at 5 years, is $90,000.

You can add to that a multitude of additons such as, overtime (both hourly and daily) per diem, holiday pay, special duty assignment pay (some of which are a $1000 a month. And of course reserve is much higher but you dont own your own life either.........

And no freakin' way unless the stars align perfectly and everyone over 55 retires at 1 year and 10 months into your NJ career will you come here now and upgrade in that short a time period. We are growing like crazy, but it just isn't gonna happen that fast. If you look around at the other threads on upgrade time you will see that most of the guys here who have been around the block are saying twice that time. I was hired post contract and I'm hoping for upgrade in 2.5 years from hire if things keep going gangbusters and a bunch of guys retire, but I'm not planning my life and finances on anything. Aviation is way too volatile to plan on an upgrade and then have a big downturn. I can't imagine not being a captain within 3 or 4 years IF things keep going well, so you should be pulling in over 100K by year 5 if hired in the near future (including OT/ exteding/ holiday pay/ and 401k match on a 7 and 7 schedule). But eventually it has got to slow down again and guys will be FOs for a lot longer than they planned. I've been flying with a lot of guys with 4 plus year of seniority who only recently upgraded.
