Why should the fact that the owner or operator of the aircraft is paying for the type have anything to do with what the salary will be??????? That is part of the cost of operating the aircraft and and is no less of a requirement than fuel is.
If he does try to offer you a reduced salary because he's paying for the type, please do yourself, and the rest of the professional pilots out there, a favor and tell him to pound sand.

I guess I should have elaborated a little more. The paint on the a/c is less then a year old, interior in two years old, we always stay at 5 star hotels, he's paying for sim school, my whole point of disclosing the info was to let you know that it is a top knotch operatoration, not a shady 135 S. FL operator. Soooo... can I just get the high low and average or what you guys would expect to earn. Thanks.

I'd say 90K plus benefits minimum.

You funny man. Make me laugh.

Sounds more like 800XP pay, and even then, probably not in South Florida.

But hey, thanks for playing.

Just my .02, but they are both medium Jets aren't they? I know one is older, but why would there be a pay difference?

Just wondering.

So I guess being the same type as nothing to do with it. Who is to say that he will not get an XP some day? Why start low and have to fight for it later? I think 90k is the very minimum for anyhwere in FL. Have you seen the prices of houses there lately?

90K for a Hawker Captain in S. Florida is not at all unreasonable.

75k avg 52-100k range for the PIC in 91 ops. The magazine (Professional Pilot, June 2006) isn't region specific though. I hear NBAA can do the regional scales, not sure .

I am a captain of a hawker 800xp and 850XPi, live in the South and make 85K..Part 91. I think the pay has a lot to do with your schedule! Our FO's start around 65K. Hope this helps.
