Las Vegas, Nevada private owner has need for an
additional Citation 560XL pilot for a Part 91
corporate flight department. Duties would include
flight planning as well as restocking and light
post flight aircraft cleaning. Insurance requires
that applicants must be type rated and current on
the 560 or 560XL and:

- 2000 hours total pilot time
- 1000 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
- 500 hours jet
- 25 hours on the 560 or 560XL

The ideal applicant will have excellent
interpersonal skills and no record of
incidents/accidents. Additionally, this will be a
7 on 7 off schedule and will fly less than 10
hours per month. 99% of flights are short hops
within Arizona, California and Nevada consisting
of 3 legs or less. This is ideal position for a
retiree, part-timer or opposite 7 and 7 fractional
pilot. There are no additional duties outside the
flight department.

Local pilots as well as commuters will be
considered however, while working the 7 on, you
must reside within one hour of Las Vegas, NV. All
submissions will be held in the strictest of
confidence.

Please do not apply if you are not 560 or 560XL
type rated.

When applying, please note your 560/560XL time
along with the date of your last 560/560XL PC, in
the body of your email. Salary is $40,000 non
negotiable. Thank you for your interest.

What a joke,
Lets see, I want a pilot that has a current type (so I don't have to spend the money to send him or her to school) and I want them to be experienced. Then I will pay a non typed, low experienced F/O pay scale. I kills me when I see an owner shell out millions to operate a private jet but not pay a professional wage. Safety should always come first and you get what you pay for.
Good luck

A part-time job?

The title of this post says that the job in question is a "part time job for frac pilot", yet read the ad. It clearly says that the job is 7 on/7 off. Working 15.2 days per month doesn't quite sound like part-time employment, at least with regards to professional flying. And that's a curious statement about the job being an "ideal position for a... opposite 7 and 7 fractional pilot". That would amount to a 7 on/7 on/7 on/7 on/7 on schedule for a lot of us on this board.

I'll leave comments about the non-negotiable $40K to others around here...

I just added the part time part. I did not originally post the job ad just thought I would provide the info if someone was interested. I thought someone in the Vegas area might like an extra 40 grand a year for less than 10 hours of flying per month.

$40K to fly about 120 hours per year might be a nice part-time job. But the bit about the 7 on/7 off is hard to swallow. Sounds like a lot of sitting around on-call. And again, it's not a likely job for someone already flying as a full-time frac pilot.
