What are captains getting these days for:

Challenger 604

Lear 45

Lear 60

Info includes:

-Full medical, dental, vision
-401K
-Private foreign company/family based in the USA...but would certainly be a Fortune 500 company
-3 pilots per plane, all captains
-10-14 days flying per month each pilot, maybe 4-6 RON's
-Schedule is set at the beginning of each month so everyone knows their days off/on for the month
-Miami based

From June '08 Pro Pilot Magazine. Take it for what's it's worth.

I don't have my June '08 PP handy but can you post the rates for the Global Express and GIV?

I can tell you this, those salaries posted by "willNOTfly4free" seem quite low. Last week I started with a new company and I'm getting WAY more than those figures.

If you PM me your email I will send you the 2007 AvCrew survey, its what I used at my interview and its a tad more than 10% more than all of those. Plus I added 2% because it was a 2007 survey. I got what I asked for too.

willnotfly4free,

Does it say if those salaries are for charter, 91 or just a general figure?

Also, Fly091, could I trouble you for the Avcrew survey as well?

Thanks

I knew there was a reason I hung on to this issue...

A general figure would be, for all intents and purposes, worthless.

All of my above numbers are from PPM's June 2008 issue, Corporate Jet Captains. Page 113

Please keep in mind these are Pro Pilot Magazine numbers. They're more for entertainment purposes than anything else. Get yourself a real salary survey if you want negotiating numbers.

Sure man, just PM me your email address and I'll send it to you.

Look. I have friends who fly Globals, one flight department pays their pilots $150,000 annually with a $50,000 annual Christmas bonus. I also know another Global flight department that pays their pilots $150,000 with a $5,000 annual Christamas bonus. I also know a flight department where their Global pilots make a ridiculous $115,000 annually. It just depends, every flight department is different. Some just suck ass and some are great. Its the pilots that allow companies to take advantage and pay their pilots like flight instructors in Cessnas.

EXACTLY! These days, you have to find a job that compensates you appropriately. Sitting around and waiting for a low-ball department to suddenly 'see the light' and start paying industry standard (or even getting off the "Low" peg) is a waste.

Problem is, even when you leave for more money, they will find someone to work for what you were making--OR LESS! TC
