I averaged 20/hr month las6t year. I will probably get 25/mo this year.

Don't judge your pay by hours flown. they pay you to be available, flyings for free.

Hey Falcon Capt....

In the NBAA pilot survey, does it list a yearly average for the following (assuming Turbojet Part 91/135 ops):

Total Hours Flown?
Total Days Worked?
Overnights?

If so, could you post them.

Thanks.

Average ~300/year. I can have a 50 hour month, followed by a 15 hour month. All depends on the time of year / business schedule.

We fly about 300-350 a year. Just like 2000flyer some months 50 some 10. Just depends on the needs at the time. From some of the grumblings from downtown it sounds like this year is going to be busier for us. I've already flown more at this time of year than ever before. Better get those wheels on my bag all lubed up!!!

We fly about 600 - 700 a year. Just like the rest, some months a lot, some very little. This last year was the busiest ever and i hear (for us) it is just going to get better (or worse depending on how you look at it)

Averages:

Hours- 23/month (I have done 45).

Work Days- 20/month (although I have done 2 months strait).

RON- 4/month (although I had 100 domestic RON's one year).

Just curious....on average, how many hours a month does a 91 corporate pilot fly?

We flew 300 hours last year and 380 hours the year before. Top month last year was 55 hours and the lowest was 7. I know another company where they average 900+ hous per year. It depends on the company and the types of operation and the places you are flying to/from. No operation is typical.

It seems to me that the "average" I hear about for a Part 91 operations is about 300-350 hours per year. . . . more, if you also do 135.

In the 2.5 years before I went Part 121, I flew 1000 hours, or 400/yr. Highest month ws 65, lowest was zero (MX or paint shop).

Last year flew over 450 hours. This year we will top 600 hours. Last month we were home only 3 days. Luckily we were sailing in the BVI for several days with our boss.

average 300/yr..

monthly is hard to say once you take out recurrent training every 6 months, 3-5 weeks vacation...etc......

some months 10, some months 60....

Don't count hours

As its been said earlier count the days that you are available to fly...for me its 28, 30 or 31 days, depending on the month.
Feb= 28 days
June= 30 days
March= 31 days

You have to remember corporate jobs are not time-building positions. Flight instruct, work charter or regional if you want to build time. Corporate positions career type positions and most pay salary so you try to make the most money out of flying the least.

Unfortunately for me I still fly about 400 hours a year, but I'm paid very well, and usually only do about 3 or 4 RON's a month.

Last year, I did 290 from May thru Dec. Days worked are around 12-16. Being on call all but four days a month (and they CAN bust those)... priceless. :rolleyes:
