What is the avg. day pay for a contract PIC on a KA200?

Depending on where you're located, around $350/day plus expenses.

Midwest based...and as for expenses, I'm assuming that is to include the obvious items such as car rental to some sort of per diem/food allowance?

That's right. All expenses are usually always paid by the employer either with a per diem or a daily allowance (i.e. a company credit card) If there is a rental car or a hotel required for an overnight, that is also usually included.
