I wasn't sure which section to post this in....so move it if you need to.

I just got a gig flying a BBJ VVIP. Corporate job but operating under 125. This just came about two days ago, I go to school in 2 weeks so I'm new to 125 regs.

I'm trying to find the crew flight hours and duty times......if there are any........for two pilot crew and three pilot crew flights.

I can't find it when reading through all the Part 125 regs.

Is there no limits like Part 91.......?

Thanks.......

All I see is 125.37...Duty Time Rule. Must have 8 hours rest in any 24 hour period.

It appears that Flight Time limits are set forth in the approved Ops Specs for the company that is operating that plane. But not sure...........

????

I think some of the BBJ's have a SB to reduce the number of seats and max payload so they can be flown under Part 91. As said those are the duty times, are they a LODA operator? or a Cert holder? approved training program? or only 61.58 checks? better get involved in the 125 operation and find their operating specs. The FAA is not consistent with part 125 operators across the country.

Its a 28 pax.....and it'll be full most of the time.

Part 125 is pretty dang loose. Everything you need is on FSIMS, but it is a correct statement that each FSDO/POI has their own way of shoving the rules up your uh, I mean interpreting the FAR's.

I think the FAA stopped granting waivers to allow operators to reduce configuration/payload to facilitate Part 91 and 135 operation of large aircraft. Some may be grandfathered.

Yea....I might find out tonight if the Ops Specs we'll be operating under has tighter rules than the basic 8 hours rest in any 24 hour period.
