What is the difference between Part 121 operations and Part 135 operations? Both can operate as scheduled carriers, so why would one go through the extra hassle to become a Part 121 carrier?

Go get an FAR/AIM, then spend the next two days reading parts 61,91,135,121,23,25 and whatever else may pertain, then if you have a specific question come back and fire away:D

135 ops have a weight and seat restriction thats why you would want 121, althought I'm sure their are other benefits those are big one.

Dude, What part your operation falls under is controled by Part 119. There are weight restrictions for different types of operations.
