Does anyone have any info on Paramount Jet, based in Little Rock? They have an ad on Climbto 350.com, expressing an immediate need for 737, MD-80, and 727 crews. Oddly, they say not to fax or email a resume', but to call a phone number. Upon calling the number, I was told that they are looking for pilots with ANY corporate jet experience, or experience in any of the planes listed above, including 757 time. Oh yeah, and they need crews so fast, that you need to send your resume' as soon as possible via US mail...And don't forget to include the $45.00 DATABASE ENTRY FEE! So although I have never heard of these guys, all of a sudden they have a huge fleet of jets they need to staff, and are collecting money. Sounds like a scam to me. Has anyone ever heard of this outfit? Can anyone testify as to their legitimacy?

Thanks.

They have a website depicting a Challenger and a 727. Website is www.paramountjet.com/paramount/ who knows these days, it could be an old company with a new name. I just called there 800 number and got some girl, she says the owner is a contract pilot and that they have been in business since November. The recording first says welcome to US Jets, not quite sure on this one

As I understand it from a local 135 operator, Paramount doesn't own any aircraft, but is merely a broker service dealing with owners/lessors for charter quotes. They also are trying to maintain a pool of typed pilots (any jet aircraft) so they can advertise a pool of "highly qualified aircrew" ready for delivery. You're salary would be paid by the contracting agency (assuming one ever actually materializes).

They are essentially a few phone lines and an NT server full of a bunch of phone numbers. They are probably using the app fees to pay their phone bills. :D
