Check out the recent issue of AOPA. There are a few different applications for Palms. There seems to be more software and applications available for the Windows based hand-helds(Pocket PC, CE, etc.).
and if you have a palm with wireless connectivity...
check out CBAV... I feel this is the most useful thing ever written... you can get quasi real time Wx radar info based on navaids (to establish a position) and it works inflight... I've used it from Lears at 450 and the speed and service is remarkable... and best yet its free... plus the website has some really funny stuff... and the Palm VII works off the pager network - so its coverage is far better then cellphones at altitude... it even works through electrically heated glass windshields as found in falcons and others...
Dawgpilot
hot sync your palm then look in the folder for your desktop under your user name the backup files are there. you can then copy and install them on another Palm.

Alright, I'm really liking this Palm 7, and I finally unzipped the copilot and its database (it didn't download correctly the first time).
I've been to the palmflying and freewarepalm sites. They've got a bunch of software, so the question still is what is actually on your palm pilot.
In other words I'm trying to eliminate downloading a bunch of junk and just go straight for the gold, like that cheapbastardsoftware (that's a real good one!).
