Saw a new listing for crews for an outfit called "Palm Beach Airlines". Anyone know what they are or what they intend to operate ? They advertised for furloughed and retired airline pilots...

It does sound "interesting" but if I were a retired DAL captain I think seeking a job would be the last thing on my mind.:D I would probably be traveling the world and buying "toys" as a hobby during my free time.:D

Let us know what you find out if you pursue this....

good luck,

350 driver, There are plenty of guys out there retiring that once flew for Eastern, Braniff, PanAm who lost their retirement savings when those carriers went under. Over the last 10 years they had jobs that paid a lot less than where they were at, now they are looking at several years of only social security before being able to receive their retirement money they saved themselves (IRA, 401k). Many of those guys are flying as flight engineers, corporate, fractional or even 135 beyond age 60

Man, if these airplanes get any smaller I'm gonna have to quit frying my doughnuts in bacon grease.
