I'm looking for a PA32-300 (late 60's to mid 80's) on Controller and I've noticed that the painted spinners of the two-bladed props are very retro-looking and dated while the silver spinners (usually on the 3-bladed props) are more modern and sleek looking. Is that just the spinner that comes with the new prop, or is there an after-market spinner for the two-bladed props as well?
Also, I've noticed that some PA32's sit very nose-high. I have flown some that sit like that and others (usually the Saratoga PA32-300R, or R300... I don't know where the R goes... seems to change a lot) sit up on the mains better. Is this usually due to under-inflated mains and/or overinflated nose? I've also noticed that if you look head-on with some of those same aircraft, the mains seem to angle outward, as if they were landed hard a few times. Is that by design or is that a warning sign of hard landings?
Any other items to look for or indicators would be greatly appreciated. I'm going into the market for at least 3 PA32's over the next 12 months...
Thanks in advance...
Shy
