No, I don't want anyone else to see my bid groups! Requests of days off, no-fly-with pilots, avoid/award statements of all sorts are no one's business but the individual pilot.*

Yes, I think everyone's bid award in all BESs should be available to view as this is crucial to deciding whether you want to change seat, plane, or domicile. This is no different than seeing everyone's line award under the old system.

*not to mention inevitable lawsuits about private information being revealed when a stalker starts mimicking someone else's bid group to try to fly with them

There were some folks at CAL who are getting "screwed" by PBS wanted to see the bid groups of the people who were junior and being sucessful(i.e. getting what senior people wanted).

I agree with densoo. If you did the work, studied the PBS book, talked to trainers and you're being sucessful, why hand that to someone who hasnt done that.

I think a lot of people, though, believe that some junior people are getting better lines in Denial mode. Meaning, I bid for something, didnt get it, went into Denial and got crap...junior guy bids for something, doesnt get it, goes into denial and gets what i wanted.

The fact is PBS has serious problems that need to get worked out.

I don't care whether anyone sees any angles or tricks I've developed to try to make PBS work for me. Mine is more a privacy concern in that it really isn't anyone's business as to what I'm trying to get and how I might arrive at a decent solution (which, by the way, I haven't arrived at yet). The final line award always has been and should continue to be public knowledge for the reason I already stated.

i agree about the BES awards. I have a friend in a different BES email me their bid award each month so i can see how i would do there(in theory).

Either way, we both agree that bid groups should stay private...just for different reasons. BTW...i live in denial...so my bidding isnt working either.
