Just got the email. Options has recalled 8 pilots to the X. Hopefully this is just the beginning. Good luck to ALL furloughees.

Great news!

That's great news. So, how does that work in terms of aircraft selection for returning pilots? Does that mean that FLOPS could not fill the X seats internally (i.e., with Beechjet FOs) and returning furloughees were offered the seats? How often can an existing pilot bid other aircraft types at FLOPS (to fill those vacancies in the X, etc.)?

Another question: how many more Phenom 300s will be added this year?

85 Flexjet guys just threw up. Glad you guys seem to be getting on track

It appears from looking at their pricing, they are charging less/month and hour for a CX than you are a 60 and nja a XLS, among other A/C. Where is the cost difference coming from?

Options paid less for their beat up used X's than Flex and NJA paid for their new 60's and XLS's.

My sales rep who calls once per week sales (1) that the winglets have made the X more efficient, and , more importantly, (2) FO's overhead is a fraction of NJ's -- many fewer high salaried VPs, not as many buildings, etc. Atleast that is what he says -- I question the big difference in operating costs.

I am sure that paying our 13 year captains less than Net Jets pays their 10 co-pilots is how they keep the operating costs down. Thats over 50K per captain.

I just don't understand why they think we are going to go have a great product to offer when our moral is abysmal. We don't even have our 401K back!!

That's only $100/hour difference (assuming 500 hours a year). Even if you assume the same difference for the FO, that's $200 an hour. For an aircraft that runs around $2,000 an hour, you are barely making a dent. The pilot is usually such a low cost that any cuts to his/her pay are superfluous. Fuel is your single largest expense. Maybe, if FO is able to cut their fuel costs over NJ they might come to a much lower operating cost. Or maybe they just make less per flight hour...margins are not always uniform.
