If you mean Opa Locka Florida, it has alot of potential, ALOT of room and
big runways. Right now it's really underutilised.

Cost of living in Miami is really high, one of the highest in the nation.
DO NOT LIVE NEAR THE AIRPORT!!
I repeat
DO NOT LIVE NEAR THE AIRPORT!!!!!
Especially on the south east side.

You thinking of bidding 213? I floated it for a month or so...I know it's ghetto around the airport, and COL is very high down there. A ~4 hour sit in FXE goes along with the run. Overall, an easy run...good luck if you decide to bid it.

Yeah neighborhood round OPF sucks. Traffic is pretty bad too.
I'm currently SICing on 213 until mid-july. Run has a nice 5th night but the rest of the week you got a 13 hour duty.

I thought it was FXE

FXE has the TEB traffic. OPF has the New Jersey neighborhood.

Makes me feel like home.... (so I'll move again)

I was awarded 213 about 2 years ago. Then I bailed when I was awarded a run out of BHM. I looked into OPF and found the same things you did. Try calling the guys that fly our of FXE for ideas. Also, there were some crash pads in the area that were nice. Most of them were run by Miami based American personel. Good luck, and have fun!
