Thought you guys would get a kick out of this ad appearing in today's Las Vegas Review Journal want ads:

[font=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica] FLIGHT CREW Local lier jet operator accepting flight crew resumes for first officer position. 2000 hours T.T. 1,000 hours multi-eng. Fax resume to: 876-6979

Wonder how much a lier type costs these days... :)

Here's the rest of it. Doing all of that, flying 800hrs a year and paying $4,500 for training?

>>Minimum Qualifications: * 2,000 Hours Total Time * 1,000 Hours Multi-engine Time * Second class medical * Commercial, Instrument, Multi-engine Land Certificate * Must be willing to live in Las Vegas, NV * Must be willing to pay for initial Lear Jet training at Flight Safety International or equivilant, if not already Lear Jet qualified, upon gaurantee of hire. Cost is $4,500. Pilots can expect to fly approximately 800 hours per year, while earning exceptional flying experience and training. Previous jet and Part 135 experience is NOT required. In addition to piloting the aircraft, applicant will be expected to: * Minor cleaning of aircraft after each flight * Supervise ground handeling of aircraft while at home base, includes securing aircraft in hangar * Supervise all fueling operations * Maintain Jeppesen charts up-to-date * Restock aircraft after all passenger flights * Preflight aircraft * Conduct weight and balance computations as well as performance data * Assist the Captain with all assigned duties * etc, etc. <<

Is there a requirement to spell check all correspondance going out of the office... TC

Isn't that always the way...

On Your Six said:
800 hours per year? You won't be in Vegas enough to enjoy it...

the operators that tout the wonders/benefits of the aircraft base (in turn for getting paid peanuts) spends all their time on the road.

For the ProPilot guy

Looks like we know who'll be on the next cover of Pro Pilot Mag. Another "Quality Flight Dept" for all to emulate. wonder if they have "berthable seats" as well.
Like many others have said on another thread, I like most of the magazine but those flight dept profiles are really lame. Couldn't resist having a little fun with it.
