Not only that, but you can download all of the FAA Training Handbooks (Airplane Flying Handbook, Instrument Rating Handbook, etc.) in PDF format.

The are all updated and spruced up with nice graphics. They have a new one on Sea and Ski ops, and the new Glider Handbook is quite good. When they updated them, the Feds actually went out and got people who were teaching in the industry to do the material. Bob Wander, supremo Glider guru, did most of the GFH.

That or pay $25-30 a piece for them in pilot stores.

I reccommend going to the library or a college and printing out large papers like that. then you can put it in a 3 ring binder. (Not that I would ever print out 150 page docs on the taxpayers dime ;))

Thanks! I was on the FAA web site that you all pointed me too, but I noticed that the first page of the Commercial PTS said August 2002, so I wasn't sure if that was right or not.

Thanks again.
