Rumor alert! Those nerds on Airliners.net are evidently suggesting that Omni International (and not Ryan International) may be ordering some used 777s for their worldwide MAC charter work. I guess you could find some real old 777s to replace their older DC10s. I am sure there are many 12+ year old 777s out there that could be used.

Anyone heard that rumor? Based on what they pay their 767/757/DC10 pilots currently, those Omni 777 pilots would probably be the lowest paid 777 pilots out there - even lower than the Southern 777 pilots. Here's the link to the rumor (no confirmation):

No rumor - its the truth. However, I heard from a well placed source that one of the B777s that they just obtained has some swiss cheese maintenance records - as in very incomplete. Word around the campfire is that the UA records are spot on, but the aircraft's follow on life at AIN - apparently not so much....
