I recently saw an Omni Air Express DC10 at BWI. I know that it is based in Tulsa and that it flies both DC10s and 757s with a lot of MAC contracts as well as leisure/charter contracts for tour companies. Some questions:

1. Does anyone know if they are hiring? Do you need a 757 type for the 757?

2. What is the mix of military to leisure flying?

3. Do you need to live in Tulsa or can you live elsewhere?

4. How are the schedules (week on/week off?) and the pay for newhires?

5. Which aircraft fleet (DC10 or 757) would be preferable in terms of destinations and schedules?

I left there just before the 757 came online. They hired all ex National guys for the 757. From what I hear you cant move from one airplane to the other. You can live where ever you want and are commercialed to work. The pay wasnt great but it was a job. Company headquarters are in Tulsa but thats all that is there. By the way, Its Omni Air Intl. not express. They use PFE's. I think FO pay is $36,000 a yr but you would make 45 easy with overtime. In terms of schedules you are committed to the company 18 days per month or that is how it used to be. Some of those 18 days might be spent at home on reserve though.
