I flew in to a small SoCal airport yesterday afternoon (no airline service of any type here), went into the FBO like we always do to wait around and lo & behold...I kid you not...

Mesa Captain. Bald head, about 30 years old. FULL UNIFORM. Long sleeve shirt, swingin' his badge on his ALPA lanyard. Lecturing his private pilot friends on the greatness of Mesa & ALPA...and the problems of the industry. WOW.

There oughtta be a law.....anyone, any airline. Do you realize how lame/sad/creepy this is?

It is P-A-I-N-F-U-L-L-Y obvious how much this guy went out of his way to show up & show off. He was still there when we got back from lunch, smirked and gave us a laid back wave as we walked back through the lounge to the aircraft.

Great entertainment for the Part 91/135 people, line service guys and ladies behind the desk!

If you noted he was bald then he wasn't in FULL uniform, was he? Where was his hat? And was he wearing a windbreaker?

Bet the FBO ladies loved the uni!

Were you able to see him demonstrate the proper use of his plywood board?

Dude, his hat and windbreaker were hung on the coat hooks he so niftally installed on his purple plywood he left leaning against the wall in back, out of sight, in shame.

What an L O S E R

His hair fell out because of all the Hair gel he had been using when he was hired on. Oh and the windbreaker and hat, they were in his backpack!!

At mesa he must only have something like 3 days off a month.....I don;t know why he's spending it at a stupid FBO.

A mesa F.O. was CFI'ing at the airport I was at this weekend. Was wearing his leather jacket. Not gonna give him any grief though- he probably needs the money.

Here is a great one at IAD back in the fall. We are backing up a flight at signature in IAD around 10pm. As we are discussing the IBB I notice a Mesa captain sitting in the crew lounge. I go over and ask if he is ferrying a plane out or something since hes at SIGNATURE not the A gates and with no other crew insight. HE says hes got a flight in the morning. OKaaay so I asked again why he was at Signature??????????? He just stated again he was doing a flight in the morning. At this point it dawns on me. This turd lives in CLT and uses Signature's pilot lounge as his IAD crashpad. What a figgan turd! I ended up triping on his sleeping board on my way out to tell the story to the XL crew.

I don't know if I need to Laugh or Cry after that story.

BTW I believe every word of it.

Who cares? Do you really spend your time analyzing Mesa pilots? I don't think I could describe what I wore today as thoroughly as you described this guy. Get a hobby!

Since Mesa gives him $500 for everyone he recruits that finishes training I guess the joke is on you guys. Recruit 10 more. $5000 bonus.

I haven't received any of the bonuses because I don't participate in the program.

Wow, so Mesa has finally sunk to the level of being an MLM scheme? So, like Amway you have to recruit to make your pay projections?

BTW, thanks for making me laugh hard enough to spill my coffee.

Working at Mesa, I think the joke is ultimately on you.
