I know the cutoff age for applying to the Air Force is 28, with an age waver. I was told you must graduate UFT (is that the same as UPT?) before you turn 30. The question is, how long does it take you to go through UFT? If I went in at 28 (I'm nearly 27 now and finishing up my 4 yr degree) can I get through by the time I am 30?

It may have changed when they changed the limit but it used to be that your UPT report had to be prior to hitting 27.5. I assume it is the same way only the date has to be prior to age 30.

I think the 28 thing comes in just to give you enough time to get everything done and be in UPT prior to hitting your 30th birthday.

You have time

You're ok, just don't procrastinate. You can turn 31 the day after you start pilot training.
