Some of you may get on my case but this group has put together some cool online flying videos, the big one 365MB on the front page. Very impressive flying and movie editing. (Using the flight sim Lock On Modern Air Combat and a Blue Angel mod.)

- to the right in Recent news is their new 2006 video. Recommended for only high speed internet users. Definitely worth the wait.
- in the downloads section are shorter trailers

Article about them http://www.simhq.com/_air6/air_219a.html

I just bought "Lock on" and was very disappointed. They're so wrapped up in the warfare they didn't do much for realistic flight simulation. It was a glorified "Jane's" combat simulator.
Microsoft seems to put more emphasis on the flying, its just too bad all they have is WWII stuff.
Things to look for in a good simulator:
1. Varying pitch requirements with speed (where's the trim?)
2. Accurate navigation instruments (including HSI, OBS etc., not just a heading bug on the heads up display)
3. Variable weather conditions (wind, visibility, etc.)
4. Interaction with cockpit display

Oh wait, this thread was about cool "virtual" videos, not the game itself. Whatever floats your boat, gets you excited, sparks your imagination, have at it. Pardon the interuption.
