Yikes! Oil prices went up $1 today to over $35 a barrel. For airlines that cannot hedge or are partially hedged, this could cause a major problem. I hope this Iraq thing is over quick after it starts in a month or so. I believe this equates to 99 cents per gallon for the airlines---which is really high.

I saw a report on United that the company currently has not hedged any of its fuel. 35 bucks a barrel and counting and it may be all over for UAL and some others. I say, let's hope it is resolved without war, however I think we all know better......
