Good article. I've read about that on energy message boards in the past.

Pig manure is used a lot currently for fertilizer like the article says.

Almost all fertilizers in America are made from natural gas though. The price of natural gas has been skyrocketing, so people are shifting from it to animal manure.

I think pig manure will always be used for fertilizer and maybe even more so in the future epecially since natural gas is so valuable as a transportation fuel itself and should not be used for farming.

It is neat that they have that technology though. We just have to eat as much as we have to drive our cars. They're both priorities....

Just my opinion.
